and that I can't spell.
That is really said... ummm sad!

yeah, i agree with joyride. i don't wanna see a rematch and see osu lose.

It would be really simple if they just made the rules such that each conference has a championship game, and only the winner of that game is eligible for a BCS bowl, and as a result, the national championship.
Then we could get rid of all this biased ranking and voting crap.

my opinion is that Michigan, though I hate them so, would be a better matchup than Florida. Michigan has a great defense and offense plus they have the incentive... being our rival.
Thing is, as long as we didn't make the mistakes we made in that game... it wouldn't have been as close as it was.

Glen don't be stupid. You can't take away mistakes from OS and leave the mistakes from UM and say the game would have been different. Of course it would have...

Ohio State turned the ball over three times and still scored 42 points on the NCAA's best defense.
In Tressel We Trust.

Moural...
The only problem with that is teams like Notre Dame who are afraid of joining a conference wouldn't have a conference championship.
They like beating up on Army and Navy and all the other cupcakes they play... with the exception of the USC and Michigan games in which they lost by a combined 44 points.
LSU is going to destroy Notre Dame.
Go Bucks.

Notre Dame is the NCAAs novelty act.

joyride2... I'm talking turnovers... not gapping holes in defenses.
- joyride0
oh ok, yeah those you can fix. but you can't change anything else because it's set in stone.
- glen0
correct.

I grew up in Columbus and my dad grew up in Michigan. He took me to a hand full of OSU/Michigan games but never let me wear my blue and yellow in fear that his boy would get killed. Growing up I never like OSU basically because their fans are assholes. I've seen serious beatings on High St from people wearing opposing colors.
Now that I don't live in the buckeye state I have gotten nostalgic for the BIG T11N basically because I'm in the PAC TEN region and all the stadiums are as big as High School stadium back home.
A few years ago when OSU was undefeated and ended up winning the National Title I found an OSU alumni bar on the west coast and decided to cheer for my home state. What a mistake! The alumni at the bar where such assholes to everyone that wanted to watch the end of the world series game by insisting that every tv was on the game. One guy even almost started a fight with someone routing for Wisconsin. It made me remember why I hated OSU and their fans. Although I'' be routing for them again and I think Tressel is a stand up guy.

I'm a huge Ohio State fan, but I'll admit... I loved that Michigan throttled Notre Dame and I'll root for them and the Big Ten when they beat USC.
Ohio State fans can be out of control, I'll admit... but they aren't all bad. Ohio State football is like a religion for many, and beating Michigan can make or break your entire season, whatever your current record is.
I can only imagine that this is similar to what Europeans feel for their futbol teams.

They got it right no matter what anyone has to say about it.
Florida beat everyone they needed to and won their conference, which is a major conference. They beat Arkansas in that title game which was also a very good team.
OSU vs Florida is the right call. USC fucking blew it, but they'll be back next year no doubt about it. Young team.

whats really interesting is the ESPN polls...
after USC lost, the question was, 'Who should play in the BCS championship?' 51% Florida, 49% Michigan.
then the question became, 'Who will win the BCS championship?' 72% Ohio St, 28% Florida.
proves that people didn't want to see a better game be played. Cause the voting for michigan in that second poll would've been a lot closer, that is for sure.

Michigan had their chance, they lost. They'll never bring back the same two teams. It's politics. There the human side to it, which might be unfair to Michigan, but that's the breaks.
Same thing could be said about Louisville. They finish 11-1 or whatever. Still cannot believe they lost that game to Rutgers.
11/09 at #15 Rutgers L 28-25
If they win that, we are talking OSU vs Louisville right now. Probably a better game than OSU vs FLA

Talk to the mechanism that's in place for controlling this stuff.
It's the fault of the BCS. But don't point fingers unless you have a solution yourself and don't say playoff system. It's not feasible.

(Dec 4 06, 09:57)The problem is people thought the Ohio St./Michigan game was good in the first place. Fans and voters saw that it was a three-point game, so they assumed it was great. In reality, however, as soon as Ohio St. took the lead in the 2nd quarter, the game was over. Michigan never got bac to within a field goal until that garbage score at the end of the game.
