I watched some of it on Channel 4 the other week (I assume it was the same prog?) and I must say it was piss boring. I switched off after about 20 mins of jibber jabber.

i do want him dead.

I guess the reason I don't like the concept is mainly because of copycat psychos out there, that mite try and make this movie come to life.

I have no idea.
Such a ridiculously horrible concept. I don't like the man, I don't want him dead though, I respect the office and what's worse is that I always thought it just gives some nut bag the excuse of saying he was brain washed by watching this movie to enact it themselves.
Then again I don't think dressing up as Steve Irwin for Halloween is bad, so I guess ... oh wait that has nothing to do with this.

"Such a ridiculously horrible concept."
really?

The only way i could have cared less about this movie is if Julia Stiles was the lead.
wait... if she was getting shot, i might be interested.

i wish i'd taken the bet that this movie was going to bomb.
this should have been a straight-to-dvd movie... or worse... straight-to-beta.

Assassinating a current president while he is currently in office in a movie?
Not a ridiculously horrible concept?
I think its box office return pretty much cemented that.

this must be the American Pie fan thread

I wouldn't bat an eyelid

now if it had starred tom cruise as the president... add a few more zeros to the end of that number.

(Oct 31 06, 06:59)Me either, I really don't care one way or the other personally.
I guess the reason I don't like the concept is mainly because of copycat psychos out there, that mite try and make this movie come to life. Which yes, people who watch like Fantastic Four or whatever don't start building rocket ships, but this is entirely different in very volatile political times in the US is all I'm saying.
They wanted to get the buzz going about a controversial movie, it didn't work.
Whoopity shit.

Coming in a close second for 'Who gives a shit about you, America doesn't care about you, hope this clues you in that your careers are over" goes to...
"Shut Up & Sing," which opened last Friday with total ticket sales of $50,000.

I watched this movie on tv last week (it was already on TV). I don't have a problem with the actual concept but I found the movie dull.
A mockudrama for me only works when you do comedy as there is no tension in something you know not to be real which is pretending to investigate a serious issue.
So to sum up then, pft.

That's My Bush was hilarious.
