Hello all,
I am going to be in Paris for a week for business and am trying to find an econimical place to stay (if that exists).
Recommendations??Thanks in advance,

i heard the paris hilton is nice looking from the outside but really beat up inside from years of excessive use. if you're good, you might be able to get in the back door though.

(Oct 26 06, 13:18)Even though you'd think there'd be enough space inside? From what i've heard it's pretty hollow.

You can get videos on the net of what you'd get for yout buck at the paris hilton. Just in case you wanted to get ahead.

It seems the electricity there is not very reliable though. As the last video I have seen of the Paris Hilton was shot with a nightvision camera.

(Oct 26 06, 13:19)The entrance is wide but very shallow, from what I've heard.

even though the paris hilton has a classy and impressive exterior, there's some artificial elements in it, unfortunately.

I stayed on the Left Bank at Hotel Delavigne, very small but clean and near the Odeon subway stop where a bunch of lines come together. Pretty good deal. It's like if you could stay near the West 4th subway station in NYC

It was a recommendation from a friend who lived there on business for a short while

Oh yeah,
and even though it's right in the center of where a few neighborhoods come together, it's on a tiny, quiet street shared with a medical university, right near Luxembourg Gardens (which is mellow) and there are lots of small bistros to eat at within walking distance on the Blvds nearby

Hey Curtis, the IBIS chain http://www.ibishotel.com is really cheap - but clean. But I recommend you take a look at the British Airways site for hotels as well http://www.ba.com as they quite often have good deals for Paris on there. Not to fancy and reasonable costs.

we stayed at a really nice little place just past the tube stop at the bastille... you might check the lonely planet.
easy access to the hip neighborhoods east of the bastille and the marais...

Thanks for the info guys, appreciate it. As much fun as the Paris Hilton might be for a few nights, it's something I'd likely regret.
