i have a QT player embedded in a page and when some people try and listen to an MP3 in it, a question mark comes up on the player
this is on IE6
i thought QT would handle mp3 no prob...even older vers of QT

it should.. but usually a mp3 in IE defaults to winblows media player.
for quicktime use they specifically have to select QT in their prefs to play it via QT

but if the QT is embedded in a dynamic page and its src is set via ASP, should it not play it by default rather than trying through win media

in theory yeah.
possible end users do not have qt at all.
can i see a url?

worked fine for me on IE for PC
maybe they do not have QT installed

that's the weird part....the QT player comes up, and has the QT logo in the bg, but in front of that is a big ?
