Yes, I have searched teh Google and the NT archives...
What do you all recommend as a utility to convert a Type-1 (PC) font into True Type (PC) font.
I know the results will be inferior, but it is a one-timer. Highest marks to freeware or timed demo versions.
Thanks in advance.

Googled it? Are you really really sure? :-p
Anyway, Google came up with this solution on the first page (search terms were "ps 2 ttf conversion"), more specific to be found on the famous font related website of Luc Devroye:
PS=>TTF on Windows
If you drag postscript type 1 font files into the windows/font folder, then the font is converted for you to truetype by Windows.If this doesn't succeed, you can always buy FontLab (the demo version won't let you export/save anything). Or search teh Google a little more thoroughly.

Thanks Stu. I had just recently read that the Windows automatic conversion was better than most. I'll give it a shot.
Everyone and their mother has a converter going the other way...
btw, I must have tried twenty different search term combinations...didn't think to use the numeral 2 instead of the more common "to". silly kids today...
Cheers for the assist.

Damn. The version of Windows I'm running ( XP Pro SP2) just allows the PS type 1 font to be installed as is. Oh well, time to get the client to pony up for a proper converter.
