only got this page up at the moment.
What you think of the layout? be warned some of the flash stuff is pretty old...dont get much time to dabble in it these days.
- johndiggity0
you need to update this badly. i don't know where to start. it's very 1999ish.
the layout's bad. i couldn't even see the nav first time i looked. best to start sketching some new layouts. good luck.
- Bullitt0
whats wrong with 1999?lol
anyone else?
- PonyBoy0
what diggity said...
'dated'... to show the age of...
"it feels dated"
capiche? :)
- VectorMasked0
1999??
no way.
it's more like from 1998. But It was a good year though. Started studying design, had a hot girlfriend, smoked a lot of weed....
ah...good memories :o)

90 degree angles are the new 45 degree angles.
- Hewmiri0
if I were you I'd switch over to being a programmer.
- VectorMasked0
If I were you I'd throw in a few arrows and 01100110001's for a modern and no dated hi-tech look
;o)
- Bullitt0
So its a piece of shit and I should start over..
Thanks for the encouragement anyway, Il be redundent in a few weeks...anyone need a programmer? be a shit one mind you , but Im a shit designer....
straight out of the 1990's.serioulsy though, think Il we redesign it now.... just needed somthing up there fast for interviews....

I don't think it's THAT bad but it does feel late 90s. That's because of the arrows and all. People will say the same thing about the plastic buttons and reflections for the 2.0 sites ina few years.
Straight up the work doesn't help make it not feel dated. As you said it's pretty old which makes it feel old. The navigation almost feels like a background element and the film icons are to big and just need to go away. Keep your head up and keep trying. You'll stumble on to something. Maybe get crit on mocks before you dev it all out next go?
- madirish0
i would start over.
- myobie0
take out any elements you don't need (arrows, colors, everything)
leave only the text and images and make sure the text looks sexy
then only add other things if the nav and descriptions are unclear and hard to follow
that would make it better

A lot of folks might disagree with me, but my personal preference for portfolios is to keep them very simple and un-assuming. That way, the work -- which is what you're really (or hopefully, at least) trying to show off -- can speak for itself.
I feel like the design of the portfolio here overshadows the work. If I were to suggest a few simple changes, they would be:
- get rid of the rakish 45 degree angle. lots of wasted space there.
- run the nav horizontal to save space.
(these first two could go a long way to abating the "dated" look others have mentioned)
- make the work bigger and the area for the descriptions smaller. again, lots of wasted space there.
- the definition concept seems a bit unneccessary to me.hope that helps.

the nav is hard to notice. real hard.

alright thanks guys. seriously this was knocked up quite fast, but like your say, its dated...
you think I should maybe not even bother uploading those flash files? since they were all done (except the top one), 6 years ago?
- meffid0
last comment: add AWESOME keywords to your site like mine:
google: fucksox
get the first 4 listings. That's an achievement.

your trying to showcase your work, simplify the site to focus on the work, that dark red is distracting too, maybe lighten it up a bit
