Has anyone here used this? If so, I will have a few questions for you.

I have to set this up for a client. I am wondering what is the intended business use of PAN? As far as intended roles is it: 1) The Ad Server company offering the ad management service (super admin)
2) advertiser
3) publisherIn this case is the advertiser Dell for example and the publisher is NYTimes website?
As far as I have seen the advertiser can login to view stats and the publisher can edit zones.
Any clarification or examples would be great as I am not finding much info on this.
Nice site btw.

We're using it to serve banner campaigns on our site: http://www.cardesignnews.com
We just use the admin user for setting up zones/placements, advertisers, then campaigns and then banners. The publisher is setup but not really used, and then we send the advertiser login details to the advertiser (which is the company advertising or an agency), and they can login to view/download reports.
what do you need to know exactly?
Probably the best bit of free software I have ever seen...

actually I'm trying to get our not-very-tech-savvy advertising manager to start take over setting up Advertisers and Campaigns, so then we would start to use the Publisher user, as I don't want him screwing up the admin stuff...

we use it for serving ads that we've personally sold to advertisers. it allows us to be our own publishers and go directly to the client for ad sales instead of going through a 3rd-party ad network (adwords, tribalfusion, etc...). and yes, I 2nd the comment about it possibly being one of the best pieces of free software out there.

So in your case cardesignnews is the publisher (and admin) and the advertiser is the company wanting it's banners shown on your site.
As it is PAN doesn't allow advertisers and publishers to create their own accounts right? The admin has to do it for them.?.
And am I right that what the advertiser can do when logged in is limited to viewing stats and the admin has to setup the campaigns for them?

jpea, so in your case the publisher is really the admin also?
Is that how the app is intended to be used? For instance, NYTimes.com could be the admin/publisher and create accounts for various advertisers.
The way I am suppposed to set it up (some will be custom) is the the admin will be an ad management company. Then the publishers and advertisers will sign up somehow to manage their zones, campaigns, etc.

yes, the admin has to create the subaccounts for the advertisers. they can be assigned various levels of access from being another admin down to just stat viewing.

I didn't realize you could give advertisers and publishers further admin rights. I thought I checked all the boxes and was still limited to stats.

I didn't find some aspects incredibly usable. There are many obscurely named fields with no explanantion. The secondary nav structure around campaigns, publishers, etc get confusing to keep track of too.
It seems it would be hard to customize the design too as it is all in tables with embedded presentation info. It would be cool just to load a new stylesheet into it.
