Humm, the legibility of the icons is poor I really can't make out what they are. The logo type needs looking at, there will be problems when printing this small, the eye of the E has already closed in version 11.
Out of the lot, I would progress 4 and 5
Ou tof the lot, I would progress 4 and 5

What exactly is the logo.. it looks like a chimmey..
To be honest I like the coloured squares right at the bottom ogf the page.

If you were in aerospace, I'd say go for 4 or 5, but for a 'creative group of friends' I don't think you need anything so pointedly logo-ised.
My curiosity is piqued by 9 & 12, though they aren't strong as typical 'brand' logos - but does that matter? I really like the chimney and whisp idea in 12.
8 looks like the Canadian flag (6 is an utter mess), whilst 1 & 3 - what's going on there? Again, I'm curious - I guess I kind of like 1.
Hope you're having fun!

i am too a bit confused what the icon is of. expecially the middle ones.
and how married to these colors are you? they are god awful, very poopy depressing, yuk.

Color pallette is really dull. You should nail it in black and white, then go to color.
The 'column' thing is a good idea, just not sure it's there yet.

I'm not feeling any of these. Not to sound too harsh, but I'd start over, I'm not getting creativity from any of these logos.
dirtydesign is right, nail it in B/W first before exploring color.

I second the colored squares at the bottom.
i read the "chimney" is a column.

with a name like magnus, that's where most of your value will be, not a symbol.
you're weakening the branding possibilities if you don't explore a wordmark/typetreatment.
colors are terrible btw.

I would so something simple with an M. I agree the colors are awful

I agree with the above, you can say a lot about the strength of a name like Magnus in a logotype. I'm thinking iconic & chunky, something like Gotham Ultra, etc...
Not to recommend a rip-off, but I think the Miramax logo pulls this look off successfully:
ignore all the other tripe on the page.

thx all for your words..its is still very much in the developmental stages..and no im not exactly married to the color scheme..just kinda random...i kinda went off with these for about 15 minutes...i like the idea of just a typeface

the squares at the bottom is the only thing that doesnt feel forced or akward on the page. work out some type solutions the icon thing is not working at all.

I like 12, I get roman column + a vine, which seems to work with the name.
colours are gross.
