hello, I've just been emailed a font family from the other office of my work - thing is they've all come through as extensionless files which my mac is now recognising as XL files (??????). Has anyone had thisd and know how to sort it?
I'd just rename them myself, but I don't know if some are .ttf and some are .ps, I have never understood Apples weird font handling ways, awkward buggers.
Go OpenType! I say

was it .zipped? sorry stupid question...

what snuggles said. you'll need them archived.

nah, I've replied telling him to do so, but I'm pretty much expecting a 'er I have no zip capability' response.
feckerin amateurs.
I'm fucked aren't I?

just drag em into Font Explorer, it worked for me once

would it matter if he's on os9? please say 'no' cos otherwise NT will lose a valued member this afternoon in a violent self killing.

I'll give that a bash, d/e

no it should be fine, have him make .sit files then..
- designerror0
so did you perform a violent self killing or figure it out?

one family of two worked - I have my claw hammer poised awaiting the outcome of family 2.
I'm hopefull though, I think my work colleague forgot to include anything in his second zip file ;)
