No idea (not a CS2 user yet).
Why not cheat and use hotkeys, then pretend like there's no problem? :)
Shift + Ctrl + N, make new layer, Ctrl (alt?) + Delete, fill with foreground (background?) colour.
If you're currently mousing these options, then hotkeying'll come to about the same amount of time, but cutting around your problem.
At least, that's what I'd do in the meantime.

Hi Nairn - nice to hear a reply on this rainy saturday morning! thanks!
Its jusr CS (no CS2)
I am trying to make a "new fill
adjustment layer" with a colour that effects the below layers content.
Which is really cool 'cause it just changes the graphic below and not the backgroundThe "new layer" and "fill" will put the fill colour all over the layer.
Anyway...I did it before...now I can't... frustrating...

oh. Well, as you're probably aware, you can just alt-click between the layers to set the 'dependancy', but that's not a true 'adjustment layer'.
Works just as well as the solid colour adjustments - though, a little fiddlier to initiate.
You might be hard-pushed to get a technical response on a weekend - give the thread a *bump on Monday if so.

nairn ... oh yes I see I can do
that with just a fill layer and dependency -THANKS!I do think Photoshop is screwed up a bit because now I am also
freezing on "Fill" - "Color"So must trash preferences or something and restart.
Will wait 'till Monday as you suggest.thanks you, nairn
