Just got me a ticket for tomorrow night, & wondering what to expect.. I know little to nothing about em other than they're on Ninjatune...
I caught Hexstatic when they were downunder, they were pretty wicked, similar style?

wicked sounds good, im looking forward to it, they're playing in a really nice venue, an old skool opera house with great acoustics

I've seen them twice, once in Montreal back in '96 and they were dope, then again in 2000 in NYC and it was totally lame, unless you like to see DJ's mix off their laptops...
My fav mix of theirs is the Journeys By DJ: 70 Minutes of Madness, which was pretty much what they played in Montreal...
DJ Vadim surprisingly was one of the best NT dj's I've seen live, well except for Kid Koala...

Ueah saw the at Glastonbury, all laptops now but they did get the crowd going. They are the orignal Ninjatune, where it all started.
I saw DJ Vadim a while back and he wasn't bad, Yarah Rule (sp?) was soing the vocals/singer and she was far too politiacl for me. I suppose Vadim is that way inclined though

I saw Vadim just after he had put his first album out so he hadn't gone all sistah souljah yet.... it was pretty much like a dj krush gig, but a bit more upbeat and at moments, quite strange [3 minutes of a creaking door sample]...

kid koala rules!
- blackspade0
sweet... I read today in the paper that they send out mp3's and videos via Bluetooth to the crowd during their set.
interesting comments on Vadim, I too caught him here in NZ recently, and thought it was a fairly average gig, although I do enjoy his last 2 albums.
havent caught kid koala!

i've heard mixed things about their live set. some friends when to see them and said they were good.

they used to do that vjam / live video mixing thing, synched with the music, which was pretty cool to watch.

can't believe they're still around. the journeys by dj album from '96 is still my fav mix set.

I finally got the chance to see them at coachella a few months ago, let me put it this way, they ROCK like they been doing for years, they are still pioneers, in fact I went to coachella just for Massive Attack, and I can say that Coldcut (who had a way smaller stage and crowd)
Was THE best band on coachella that sunday. You won't be dissapointed
- karborn0
old school. They play about, constantly touring it seems. bless the ninjatune indeed.

Meeklo,
how was Massive Attack?
they are playing NYC next week
and I can't decide.
