a good link for current screen res stats please?
I'm trying to convince someone that 800.600 is dinosaur era, especially considering they are aiming at business - do you think I am correct?

No, but I can show some of ours for a standard corporate site;
1024x768 - 58.44%
1280x1024 - 16.16%
800x600 - 7.94%
1280x800 - 7.14%It's quite a large figure to discount.

Scroll down to Display Resolution, but to quote:
"Statistics are important information. What you can read from the statistics below is that Internet Explorer 6 is the most common browser, XP is the most dominating operating system, and most users are using a display with 1024x768 pixels or more, with a color depth of at least 65K colors."

Anything below 5%, and I'd probably not cater for it.
Like when I have to tell clients who still run IE5 - they are in fact about .5% of the internet, and they should upgrade.

this site has stats on a few things like os and browsers too. real useful for that kinda stuff..

in my opinion its really who your designing the site for.
if ts major/general 800*600 but i reckon if its for like hardcore net stuff then go 1024:)
