protest fonts

Hi guys,
I need to find a font (or fonts) that look like the writing people may have made on protest placards or banners.
So basically handwritten fonts that have a thick painted look. I'm at a loss for where to look on this one.
Preferably free but will buy a couple if I can preview them properly,
Thanks

You really ought to do this by hand. Even if you're not an expert lettering artist, as protest signs are amateurish by nature. Is there any reason that this must be a font?

It doesn't need to be a font per se, but what I'm doing is replacing text on banners in a photo. If I do all the text by hand there is a risk of all the lettering looking like my hand. I'm also going to mix it up my using basic fonts like people might print at home: ariel, impact etc with lots of rainbow colours, the kind of things you see on protests.
This font is the closest I've found so far to what I'm looking for. I'm really looking for a range:

I will also use the original banner lettering from the original photo as a source of ideas too.

I agree with Typographica. If you can, do it by hand. Scan it in. It's only one more step in the process. Brush fonts always look so cheesy and fake. You could get different people round the ofice (?) to write stuff if you're worried about it looking like your handwriting, maybe.

I love these projects where time and budget is of no essence, where what matters the most is the legitimacy of type so it should be drawn by hand, and failing that, spend a bunch of money on hideous fonts you will never use again.
or something

somehow the word consequence transformed into essence, i will check that out on my freudian calculator.

draw one with your left hand, one with your right hand, then one with your foot.....and so forth.

you are going to feel real silly when someone walks in while you are doing the fifth one

Thanks typographica and rasko,
so good paint looking ones there. Might use them as inspiration to draw my own. It's basically for a leaving card for a close friend and work mate. He's a great designer and I'll be sad to see him leave.
I've got a high res image of a big protest scene. I've already taken out the original protest text so I've now got a crowd of people holding blank banners and placards which looks pretty weird in itself. I'm going to get colleagues to suggest things to write on the banners. I want the text to look good though.
I might even replace a few of the crowd members' heads with some of us from our studio, add in a some subtle jokes.
It's looking good but still a way to go!
