*goose pimples

It's quite something, that footage - isn't it? Watched it the other day and felt goose pimples (not sure whether phatlee's being typically sarcastic?)
Just listening to the transition from curious-sock to dawning-horror was enough for me to relive the sense of dread on that day.
What I found really amazing was the final dust plume stopping literally mere feet in front of their house - that huge roiling mass, consuming everyhting in its path - it was like some great, lumbering creature. Stunning.
I was curious to know why they seem to miss the major events - the footage of the second impact and first collapse is utterly not-there?
Conspiracy's afoot, no doubt.

he he - that should've been 'curious-shock'. the transition from curious-sock is more of a metamorphosis and possibly the subject of another thread in future.

what's hard to comprehend?

That was pretty tough to watch. Such a vantage point.
It's hard to watch and listen to their emotion, AND I watched that right after I woke up this morning.
Still so completely unbelievable.
Does anyone ever think "What if they had not collapsed? How would they have dealt with rebuilding or demolishing?"

Speaking of 9/11, click this picture slideshow and select September 7 - 14.

That looks like something out of a science fiction movie.

(Sep 15 06, 06:49)things like having 20 million dollars, what it's like to walk on the moon, the collapse of 2 enormous buildings in the city you live in and thousands of people dying, you know, that type of stuff. things most people here don't experience everyday or even ever.
unfortunately i'm sure it's easy for people in other countries to comprehend as it happens every day.

The shots in longview of what was going on at the base of the towers and the expanding dust cloud were what kept me glued...Suprised they missed the second plane hitting the towers

(Sep 15 06, 06:58)skelly's right. It's more of a shock on Western culture.

(Sep 15 06, 07:27)Spare me. I am sooo tired of hearing that garbage. Whenever 3000+ innocent people are murdered it is broadcasted throughout the world and everyone is affected. This does not happen all the time and to pretend it does but Western culture is outside of that is pure 100% garbage.
When is the last time The Netherlands had 3000+ civilians murdered in one hit? Germany? Russia? China? France?
Fuck off.
