This Goalie shit is fucking wack!!!

(Oct 12 06, 23:42)i agree. i didn't think goalies were that important either in the beginning and I guess they are. Anyway, after losing 25 points b1c of CuJo the other day I gained 13 back from last night. If my guys can continue to get points I can make some ground...

you get points per category....so if you get 3 goals and 5 assists you can earn the 14point for goals and 14 for assists if you lead in that category....but then the same night if your goalie lets in 9 you will lost point in the goalie category since the 9 goals let in will drop you in maybe 3 categories...i like the scoring it makes you look for players other then 50 goal scorers.

(Oct 13 06, 08:11)yeah but just finding goal scorers is a lot easier to maintain. You don't have to think about the game too much and don't have to necessary change the players around each day.
But it's still fun. We'll be better organized for next time and probably for this year too since we are getting the hang of it now.

you can set your players in advance for the week at least or more...i do have to agree that its alittle more involved then it should be....next tme we can do it with a smaller bench and more on ice players....so you dont have to change daily as it seems you kinda have to now...
STILL NOTICE SOME PEOPLE ARENT SWITCHING PLAYERS THOUGH!!!!

(Oct 13 06, 08:11)... That would have been nice to know before hand.
:D
I'm seeing if I can just bench my goalies and not even attempt to get any points from them.
- hiten0
i dont think you can do that.... if you have a good defence man I can trade you a goalie.
I said the scoring was rotissere before hand Im pretty sure...no one read the URL i posted :(

(Oct 13 06, 08:41)damn you hiten! I should've proposed a different trade with you for Kaberle. Eh, whatever. Maybe by some miracle my goalies will be amazing this year. They're doing well so far.

jaline, emery looks like hes going ot be taking over for gerber...i hope martin st.louis picks up his game...hes got zeros for everything
- Jaline0
Emery and Gerber are sharing goalie time, just as Emery and Hasek did last year until Hasek was put out for good with his injury and Emery was forced to take over. Gerber is still the main goalie unless he keeps going on with this loosing streak.

i have raycroft and khabibllin if anyone wants

one thing i would consider as far as rotating in subs every day: you can only get 82 games worth of points at any given position, so if you eat all those days up before the end of the season you're screwed at the end.
at least that's how every other fantasy leagues i've been in have worked...
- hiten0
so your a "RINGER" is what your saying!
- Jaline0
I don't get it. Can someone explain a bit more? Thanks :)
- hiten0
82 games is an official NHL season...
- hiten0
NHL = National Hockey League
:P
- loganmills0
i don't know how that rumor got started. you can look at my yahoo fantasy history, i barely know what i'm doing.
- Jaline0
So each player can only play 82 games?
Sorry...I had lots of wine at lunch.
- flavorful0
I think Jaline means, and what I feel the same way about is ...
We have to also calculate how many times a position is played?
I'll be honest, I've been filling up empty spots if someone is available just to get points.
So putting in a player I normally wouldn't play, just because there was no one else available at that position.
This is getting wacker and wacker (eh, feel free to add an -i before the -e in each case as well) with each day if this is the case, haha.
- loganmills0
just put in your best players whether they actually have a game that day or not...bench players are for injuries
- Jaline0
Same here, flavor.
