btw a lot of people (if not mosrt users) hardly know the difference between flash and html, some even don't know the difference at all ( this could be even a majority of internet population)..
now imagine all these people are used to using their scroll wheel..
upon reading this site they
- become annoyed, or
- return their mouse to the store, or
- simply click away

takes a lot longer to load then any html page of this style..

also annoying:
i click some project for hp link in the corner and then it properly loads up in the middle after which the whole page disappears to ask me to wait while loading up the page again and after x seconds it appears again..
i don't see the advantage in that, to be honest.

now take a page built in something such as flex that uses the flash player to dsplay, where content can load quickly without reloading an entire page, as well as being configured to adapt to a users screen size so possibly no scrolling would ever be necessary...
...there are a lot bigger problems to solve for a users experience other than a scroll wheel. I gaurantee an user would rather have a faster loading site with an easy to navigate UI, then having the simple ability of scrolling up and down.
People have to get exercise somehw

but werd, id rather have a scroller too with the mouse, i am sure theres a work around... in flash in know there is...especially with mouse detection

as i just pointed out, it does not even load faster. i don't see the merits besides some swooshy animation here ans there..
