Is this standard for Marketing, advertising, design agencies in NYC?
And what do you guys get?
- fooler0
i've gotten anywhere between 2-12% depends on the profits and your promotions

at my last 2 places in chicago it was always 3% no matter what. they'd promise at least 5% but it would always be 3%.
too new at this place to have a raise yet but twice a year we have bonuses that are 10% of your salary. i was too new to get it this year but the other 2 full-time designers did. the interns did not. they at least took us out to lunch and treated that week.

So it does seem to be 3-5% norm. I have been at my place for 4 years and now they are leveling out raises across the board. I would think years worked at a place would factor into some sort of extra %...

nyc for me has given me 5% - 7.5% product development is my field.

I'm in the corporate world - 3% raise is fairly normal assuming you don't get a promotion. 5% is good to me. Several people here get 0-1%...

I just started working for my current firm in January. They just gave me a 15% raise.
That's not normal though.

My yearly raises since 2003 have been:
3%
12%
20%

i got a 40% raise at my last job without a promotion. that was pretty unusual though.

My last raise corresponded with a promotion, actually. I don't just heat up the brand anymore, they actually let me press it to the cow's ass.
That takes skill like you don't know.

I just got 3%, retroactive to june 1st.

I am in no way asking this with any disrepect on account of my last two raises being rather high, because I've had my share of 2-3% raises.
So when it's around 2-3%, don't you hate how you barely notice it over the year?

it all depends. 3% is about annual inflation rate. so you are not really getting any increase but it seems to be the standard for many.
