hello everyone.
I just bought a mac after being a dedicated pc user for years and years. And I dont know much about them obvioulsy. Do you know how I can see what speed my cpu is and how much ram is installed on my mac? Like a hardware profile or something.
Thanx

another converted soul!
it's only a matter of time until all pc-users have seen the light..
and then it is only a matter of time until the Mac is the platform of choice for virus creators and spyware and hacks and all that rubbish.. :(

I didnt really want to change os, but then I saw the imac and I saw a dell and the decision was easy.

tips for a pc user converting to a mac (feel free to add others everyone):
1) left button on a pc = control key on a mac (unless you have a 2 button mouse or mighty mouse)
2) MS Paint = photoshop
3) Windows Media Player = Quicktime
4) Winamp = iTunes
5) Blue screen of death = there is none!
6) egg timer = beachball/rainbow pie
7) control alt del = alt apple esc
8) Apple tab = can't do that on a pc.
9) contral panel = system preferences
- Kiko0
hey baskerville
thats very useful . thanx!
- Teeuwen0
2) MS Paint = photoshop

5) Blue screen of death = there is none!
no instead we have the rolling beachball and the option to force quit an app.. :/

teeuwen, what did your old screen name used to be? Your site url is familiar, I know you used to be someone else and post lots but I missed the transition. Who was it???
- Teeuwen0
Crouwel
- normal0
You may find it a bit cluttered in comparison to a PC but the f9 f10 f11 keys are your new best friends.
- Baskerville0
ahh, of course, makes sense now.
I have this kind of mental map of different nt users, now I will replace crouwel with teeuwen.
