does anyone have a printer that they know of that could handle printing on newsprint at a size of 24"x24" ?

When I worked at a the McNewspaper doing color ad work we needed to produce sales comps and news page mockups on our newsprint. So we purchased an HP Plotter, there are tons to choose from depending on your budget:

that could handle roll-fed newsprint. A bit of calibration and we could print all day.

would you be up for printing a medium sized project in a few months ? how does it handle b&w or double sided ?

if its just B&W consider making a master and running off multiples at a blue print shop.
they smell neat. but double-sided won't be doable.

We do a lot of colour inkjet printing on newsprint, generally used for pitches by agencies. We print on a large format HP 5500 but had to do a lot of searching for a suitable newsprint. If you don't need colour you should pursue companies that do CAD plotting for architects and engineers. The problem you may run into is that your local printer would have to create a colour profile for the media.

anyone know of someone who can help print a 2 sided 24"x24" print on something similar to newsprint, either single color or 2 color printing.

if you're printing enough, you could do them on a half web.
