Im doing are fall catalog(44pages) and Ive set it up at 8x12.5 landscape. Would it be cheaper to get printed if I set it up at a more standrard size such as 8.5x11 landscape! I havent done a catalog before and Im trying to do this at a resonable price. basically does the size formate make a big dif in price?

hard to say..
from my experience, when you're dealing with any kind of budget restraints or are unsure if things, it's best to go with an established size...printing houses are more readily able to process your job....that sorta thing...
but it depends if its short run or not...
actually, it depends on an assload of things..
best to talk to your printer about sizes...see if he has any advice...

get specs from a few printers. One for a standard size and one for your preferred size. Depending on the original sheet size of the paper they use, it might not make much of a difference at all. On some of the press checks I've gone on for catalogs, the sheet of paper would accomodate a 8"x12.5" layout without a problem.
