i am very hesitating to use silverkeeper again, i used it once but i don't know what it will do the second time, will it overwrite only altered files or what??

i changed the name of one of the directories in both locations. instead of adding the new files to the existing files, it REPLACED the entire folder.

You're not an idiot, you're a human being, we tend to fuck up every once in a while

this shows how imperfect we are as a human race, it's only natural..
but then, cunts like you really throw us back in the evolutionary timeline by at least a few centuries..

seems that Data Rescue has got some files back. they're all crazy names but there's lots of eps etc.
fingers crossed. seems to be good software.

yeah, but overwrite is something else then delete. overwritten files are gone forever. :(

it happened to me once.
that day sucked.

I did something similar at work a few years back. I used to look after the backups in my 'IT' days. Came to needing to use a new tape for the backup drive, and instead of formatting the tape, I formatted the Media Dept partition of the server.
Nice!
