hmm, i dont see it being different from n.america, but that's ur intellectual property, and if it wasn't included in the cntract, u can put a proce tag on them

no contract means no legal standing for either side, except that it's your work, and he'll be hard pressed to force it from you without paying.
I'd look back at your email correspondence though, and see what was said exactly.
give him a reasonable fee and I'm sure it will be cheaper than him lawyering up

thanks guys,
ill look up the emails. other than that, if they do go through with courts and such, is there a chance that i could counter sue. london isnt the cheapest place for lawyers exactly.

counter sue if they owe you
but i dont see any grounds for a counter sue, unless the bloke is really harassing you
- abhi0
thanks.
they feel justified in harrassing me and im sticking to my view of a price against the files.
the money involved is really not worth the hassle but if they dont see reason, i guess ill need professional help. but then again, i was wondering if any other designers have been in a jam like this before.

Did you have clear discussions on who would keep the source files?
Not having a contract and arguing over files, etc makes designers as a whole look unprofessional.
Your site is nice though btw.

hey, can I have the fla to your site?
