Word & PDF Templates

  Been searching on the web for this one and can't really find anything. It's one of those problems where you think 'surely someone has done this'.

  Is it possible to create a documents in PDF/Word that anyone can add text to but can be published as PDF with a 'rich' design to them?

  I've got a lovely document layout I made in Illustrator but how can I make it compatible with word.

  Thanks peeps. Forgive me for being a simple man. I only like colours and simple shapes.
