I'm finally moving to the great OC from NYC in September.
Who is out there, i know Juxt. Anyone else i should say hello / avoid?
- nocomply0
Who is out there?
A bunch of milfs with spoiled teenagers that drive around in the milf's hummer that was bought with daddy the plastic surgeon's money.
Besides that there are probably a few design firms but I don't really know of any off-hand.
The OC actually isn't that bad, despite the image it has received in the media as of late.

Milfs in hummers?
Sounds good to me.

Plus aren't they in the crappiest, boring part of OC? Middle of nowhere land!
- F_180
yeah, they are. juxt or mindflood is where you'll want to be as far as interactive/motion goes.
alslo doing some good work are http://www.graphicwise.com/ and http://www.p11.com/ although their websites would have you believe otherwise.
if all else fails, move to la or san diego. theres plenty of work in both of those cities.

Thanks F18!
I spoke to Juxt, they are indeed hiring. Looks good, we'll see how it goes.
- F_180
yeah they are always hiring people, its crazy. if you go in for an interview, tell a guy named alex mustacich that mike janiak from san diego says hi.

Ah yes, Santa Ana. Good times at the Gypsy Den and Memphis watching Silk Tricky stab himself with a fork and toss salt shakers around.
Oh yea, Mindflood and Juxt OWN The OC.
- anayafx0

yep...Santa Ana artist village is great. There are also some great hole in the wall restaurants down 4th street...just a block away.
And they also have an Artists Village Walk the first Saturday of every month. Oh...and a small Farmers Market in Wednesdays.

you might be tempted to visit disneyland. don't.
unless you enjoy paying to stand in line all day.
oh, and if you do end up in huntington beach, don't go barefoot. removing broken glass and rusty nails from your foot isn't fun.
DO eat at roy's newport beach (fashion island). do visit the peninsula (newport beach/balboa). and do visit detroit bar for the house music.

disneyland isn't all thats cracked up to be, but it should be at least visited once in your lifetime.
Huntington Beach isn't that bad, especially if you have a dog, since there is an area section off for dogs to play on the beach.
Definitely visit the districts in Laguna too, and the cliffs as well, some amazing views. Make sure to take the classic pch cruise also.
