Can someone please take a look at my portfolio and tell me why I have not even gotten one interview from over 70 applications as a mid to senior designer? Do I suck so bad?
Im starting to think of changing carrer here.

I see no reason why you are unemployed.

thankyou man.
But I have applied for job after job, agency after agency, anad some say why are you applying here what we do is boring, others say wow, but no one has asked me for an interview or shown any interest what so ever.
Im getting freaking down. I need a hug :(

Maybe you don't interview well...or you smell.
- Kiko0
well I wish it was one of those man I could fix them, but I have not even been asked for an interview.

do you heavy breath on the phone?

maybe its because its a bit more 'niche' market stuff.
all looks good, but i dont see many agencies getting that work out the door in the uk.not that that is a bad thing.
i take it they WERE all (or nearly all) REAL briefs you were working on to come up with the solutions?

maybe it's the presentation of it?
make it more acceptable to corprations. right now, it feels very small boutique shoppish.
but it all depends what you are looking for.

You're talented, but for a mid to senior level position you need more pieces like commerical work. Maybe your resume sucks.

apart from flirting all day...

it's most definitely a cause of being in central london

may be more about how you are presenting yourself...
are you just sending them this link or are you putting together a specific package for each prospective employer?

why not try applying to a recruitment agency rather than 'cold calling' studios.
That way the agency will make the approach to studios they think you suit for you.
Nothing to lose

rasp and visual plane.
I agree with you. The only problem is that I have not been working in great places so far, so these works are freleance jobs. I dont want to show the work I have done as an inhouse designer for a mobile phone games company, they suck.
I have got myself in a hole. in a visciouls cycle that I seem to be stuck in.

maybe jesus is trying to tell you that jobs are for suckers and that you should live the jetsetting life of a freelancer :)
