---the one that gets you the job done, you can read all the bad things about any software but if it works for you why not use it?

I have both a mac and pc, and have tried both gordon and sothink. What I've noticed is side-by-side for the same .swf, sothink is clearly better.
Gordon drops code like crazy and often creates .fla's that will crash the flash program.

oh sorry one more thing...if you use sothink on the pc, then try to open the .fla in flash with a mac, this will also cause flash to quit. You'll need to generate the .fla on the pc, open it in flash on the pc, then do a save as in order to open it on the mac. I believe it has to do with a font problem.

Flash Decompiler is really good http://www.eltima.com/products/f…
But works best on the PC. SSothink SWF Decompiler v.3 has been the best one I've used so far.

can't say about PC, but Mac version of Trillix is waaaaay better than Sothink http://www.flash-decompiler.com/…

I've used SoThink on a Mac, for a file I had deleted.
It worked but rewrote the actionscript totally. I was able to salvage elements that were in there and it was useful.
