isn't your fav band METRIC??? or am I thinking of another NTer.
I wish I had the ticket stub to Janes Addiction opening for Iggy Pop in '88 but I snuck in the side door.
No one know who Janes where and only about 10 people got up close to the stage for them.
A Year latter the were one of the biggest alt bands in the world

They had a show at this old venue which is pretty much smack dab in the middle of PITT's campus, which ... is pretty much smack in the middle of Oakland on one of the main streets.
It was just kids dressed like clowns as far as they eye could see, and other jerks dressed up to the nines.
It was one of the weirdest things I ever walked through. And I can only safely assume every single car driving by stuck in traffic were thinking the same exact thing.

my brother-in-law has a ICP clown tattoo on his chest...he's pretty much an ass clown himself

I love wolfgang! But I cannot get myself to buy old tickets.
However I love 70's rock posters. THe postcards are kind of cool.
Oh well back to work so I can afford concerts and posters.

(Jun 25 06, 10:33)Eh, they'll be worth something when she's dead at least...

I did actually start discovering a few of these bands during the 90s, so it would be nice to have some sort of memorabilia of them, even if I didn't attend the concerts myself (only because I couldn't).

haha, that's what I say to anyone who doesn't understand.
- version30
seriously then what use do you have for them?
they are not your memories.
your kids will dig through your stuff and say "Oh wow you were as so and so"
to which you'll respond "no actually i was two, but i could prob sell this thing for 50 bucks now"
to which your kids will say "that's what you give us for lunch money"
to which you'll respond "...."
(knowing they're right)

I guess it's like having a piece of the artist's history. Plus, I think the backstage passes will be worth a lot more than $50 :)
