nice nav, i like it.
- indian_pole0
forgive me, but isnt that navigation a little un-user friendly?

i like the one before and this is also good.
this one seems more organized and more commerical, which is a good thing

(Jun 16 06, 11:43)don't get me wrong i think it's a nice site.. but say if you roll over 'client', then try and rollover 'awards', it jumps up and you have to find the button agaiin. i guess it's petty but it annoys the hell out of me.
love the work tho.

I can see how the jumpyness might annoy but the links stay in order.

I really liked the one before. I see this one as a giant step backwards.

I don't see anything unique here to be honest. Same stuff as always engage style. Works good, and that's what counts.

it looks really good.
but i also have a problem with the nav.with the box expanding as you roll over them, its kind of a pain to get to the item you want. it keeps getting farther away from you.

I can see how it could be frustrating if you are trying to get somewhere fast, but I can also see how it could generate interest in playing with it more.
I like it alot. The only thing I didn't like that it's not full screen. On my screen (and granted, I am looking at it on a 24" LCD) it looks like the edges were arbitrarily limited, considering that it goes the full height, but stops on the sides.
It would look really cool the scaling bar extended all the way to the right and was locked to the left.
Minor thing, of course, just looked like a perfect type of site for that.
Superb motion, so damn butter smooth!

the genious of this site is you can view the thumbnail size images when the project isn't expanded. so cool, love the motion

i liked the old site. this one is really intuitive in a new way. but most importantly, i always loved Universal's work. their interior/environmental design has always been amazing and very impressive.

so true

I'm no web designer but I find the nav incredibly annoying. The red bitmapped text very difficult to read and I'm only viewing on a 12inch ibook so I have to scroll down if I want to see everything.
Once you click on a menu item , yes it's all very slick and fluid. I'm not sure I would have got that far though if I wasn't looking at the site because it was featured on NT.

yeah, i found the nav to be really hard to use. preferred the old site

Cheers for the responses... still a few things to tinker with... There are a whle bunch of attributes to be able to change the behaviours...so probably needs a little tinkering with so that people don't lose what they're looking for... just wanted to get the bugger online!
I can adjust the amount of time until a section expands/contracts when you rollover it... so that may help
