it could even be more than just pieces of art. anything you are willing to donate could be auctioned off. If you are not an artist, whatever you do that is original, and was created by you could be submitted.

If this happens, they'll be plenty to auction. For certain!

ideas like this would really need the approval of Patrick and the support of such names as surfstation, NT, yayhooray, DIK, etc to properly get the word spread
the idea is well intended, but could quickly get away from someone and possibly exploited. I know this is the last thing any of us would want
it would also entail alot of logistics as to the location of the auction or public showing as opposed to a simple online auction.
I'm afraid it's alot bigger than some of us may have time for.
I wish Patrick the best and will do anything I can to help

indeed V4. Those who will bring this to life, can rest assure there will be a LOT of interest. That many of us care deeply. Perhaps that knowledge will set them in motion.

crying a bit reading this. the good kind of crying. seeing everyone come out in full force is amazing, magical and uplifting to me and my family. i consider all of you friends and you are always welcome wherever i am. thank you.
i have one important wish:
my request is that you do all you can to help spread the word of the cause, the foundation, the film and the website to anyone and everyone you possibly can.
employers, co-workers, neighbors, friends, enemies, family........ spread the word.....
and in turn ask them to donate and spread the word.
every contribution, big or small, makes a difference to us at this point.
we're on the verge of something wonderful.
thank you,
patrick o'brien

Hello Patrick,
It's been awhile since we've been in touch. Brooke had told me about your condition some time ago. I have been following your photos posted through your websites in recent months. I am so very sorry, Patrick. I have thought of you many times over the past 2.5 years. We never know what life is going to bring to us. You seem to have made the best of a very bad situation. It takes great courage to make your story public and bring awareness to this terrible disease. I have only good thoughts about you, and good memories of a bright, talented young man, and I wish you the best. Take care.
Love,
Judy
(Brooke's Mom)
By the way, kudos to Tim, Mal and all the others who did such a great job with the film and for their loyal support to you.

I think an auction is a great idea, I would be glad to donate some prints or anything to help.

This sucks. I feel so helpless.
If you do do an auction I'll throw in some of my sketches and drawings or something.
