Hey guys,
Recently my website's been lagging really bad. I thought it was because of how complex flash stuff is slower on Macs... but my website isn't very complicated! I tested the website on browsers on my Mac and then IE on a friend's PC and it lagged on everything. I'm pretty sure it's not a browser problem either because it STILL lags when I run the .swf on my Mac.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's the site:
(All the fading and such shouldn't look like it's over a span of 50+ frames...)
Thanks!

Nice and fast on a PC. What version of flash are you publishing as? 6, 7, 8? Might experiment with that.
- Hewmiri0
publishing as 6
- Juliet0
here is what I might suggest:
1. Publish at 8. See what happens.
2. Publish with a transparent background. This is a very easy method to gain performance boost in IE. However other browsers will be slowed.
3. Detect for Mac and serve a sped-up version.

use 60 fps. change your name to something more designy
- Juliet0
lol simply bumping up the fps will do nothing fool haha.
- uberdesigner0
yes it will. 61 fps n00b. scripted motion should do it. if 2a can do it then anyone can

LOL have you ever used flash before??? He said there is a difference in performance on different platforms you idiot. 60 won't change a thing and might make it SLOWER on the mac since performance is already an issue.
Hewmiri ignore uberdesigner. Scripted motion is not the answer either. This guy has never used flash beyond looking at websites.

ok I'll try flash 8.
I can't see uberdesigner's post... do you have multiple personalities?!

actionscript
fade with time instead of frames with actionscript
it will fly
