I remember when not too many people knew about twin falls. everyone goes there now. I even saw a photo of it in an urban outfitters catalog.

there was a place off slaughter lane in south austin that we used to hit up all the time too called pretty pool. It's back in the woods like twin falls.

Chiming in. Hi. I'm new to this site. My girlfriend happens to be from Austin, and I've gotten to visit 3 or 4 times. Here's a few ideas.
Go to 6th street. Drink for cheap.
Watch the bats (wierd).
Check out the art museum. It's small but always has cool stuff.
Go back to 6th street. Drink.
Watch a wacked out show at Ester's Folies.
Ride jet skis at the lake.
Have a margarita afterward at Carlos' and Charlie's (by the lake).
Definetely eat some bar-b-que.
Paddle a canoe down the river.
The Alamo Draft House serves dinner and drinks with your movie, (seems like a no-brainer).
Go back to 6th street. Check out the piano bar. Actually, there's a lot of free live music downtown.Don't stray to far from an air conditioner. Good luck!

hey dann - i live in austin and it's the raddest city in texas, period. dallas BLOWS and i lived in Houston for 15 years and it's pretty cool (huge art scene, world-class museums, shopping, etc.)
