Is it possible to evenly skew in Illustrator? I can figure out how to skew in general, but I can only drag one edge at a time. Is there a skew function similar to Photoshop where I can skew both ends (ie., if I want to go from small to big evenly?)
Please help! I'm stuck!

Anyone? Bueller? C'mon...I referenced a classic 80's movie...that should count for something!

Effects/ 3D/ Extrude & Bevel

annother possibility:
Object/ Transform/ Transform Each
this might your best bet.

I tried that one too and can't figure it out.
I have a word (actually 8 separate words) and I want them to go from tiny to large, but evenly. Maybe I'm not thinking skew, maybe I mean perspective?

Thanks! If this helps, here's what I'm going for.
I have this cheesy pirate invitation I'm doing, but I added a sun rays in the background, very faded, but I want 8 different words to follow the shape of the rays. I can't get it! ARRRRRRR!

I had to convert to outline first, but that isn't doing it...same as free transform.

OK... it if it's text, first make sure it is outlined.
Now... select the text/object > use the transform tool > click on top point whatever end you want to skew > while still holding down on the mouse hit the key combo of command+shift+option at the same time and you should be able to skew it that way you want.
The key to this is make sure you hold down the mouse button after selecting the point you want to skew... if you use the key combo with holding down on the mouse it won't work.

AHA! Now we're getting somewhere...it's not perfect, but its working a bit. I'll play with it some more. Seems like it's a restricted perspective, but it may work.
Thanks buddy.
