When attempting to get freelance work from agencies (sending out self promotion, etc) do you use your own name or a business/site name? Does it make a difference?

how about both? Such as on a business card, you can put your name first and then have your position and company name underneath that, or vice-versa depending on the job you're going for.

Depends how good your name is.

That's cool. I am just wondering if they are generally more comfortable with being approached by an individual rather than an individual under the guise of a company name.
I guess it doesn't matter either way.

use your name if you are doing freelance. in the end the company is going to deal with YOU not with your company name.

I say use your own name unless you partner up with someone in like a design/build relationship or something.
