Can you make a dynamic text link in Flash open in a tab like it would in HTML?

I guess this isn't possible as far as anyone knows? I am also having a problem where my dynamic text (html) links don't work in Firefox unless the popup blocker is off.

some considerations:
#1. with browsers that can implement css3, [unfortunately css within flash is very limited]:

#2 u could try to write the html with that css style and trigger it.
note: usage of target is deprecated in xhtml 1.1. let the user decide to open it in a new window/tab [otherwise use javascript]

Thanks for the info. I hadn't seen that CSS property before. That is nice to know for other things but I am sure it doesn't work in Flash atm.
I know that blank targets are deprecated but it seems like in Flash you would want to keep them from having to jump out and back into your Flash file.
I will just try JS to see I can fix the popup blocker issue if I continue to do it at all. Unless that CSS property actually works in Flash I guess there is no way to make the links work with your mouse just as they would with plain html (middle click, control click, etc).

u misunderstood me.
that css will NOT work in flash.
my theroy: call an external javascript function FROM flash, that would use a document.write to render a < a > tag with your link and that
css3 style [invisible because the node would have no text].now the trick part: after rendering target that tag and trigger it. with luck, it wuld comply with the tag's style and open in a new tab.
