I get that, but would you go up to a group of girls and hand them a piece of plastic?
I would never do either - I haven't tried dating for 6 years, but before that i was terrible - but I kind of see where you're going, but handing over this card in person, and then coming back to a computer hoping she sends a reply would be a little soul destroying!
- I searched your original thread and read the discussions there so will understand you prob don't want to get into again
Good luck with it though!

I can see where you are coming from. It is hard to approach someone in some instances, especially if it is something new they have never seen. When online dating first came out it was looked upon as desperate, why because it was new.
I'm hoping that people will realize all the times in one day that this could come in handy.
There have already been a few connections through the site and the site is only 2 weeks old. So that tells me that it is working and people are not laughing them off but are actually responding that they are also interested.

As mentioned before, it's not suppose to take the place of meeting people. It is more of a tool of meeting people at times when it is not always easy to meet someone.

Nearly all the posts in missed connections on craigslist could have used a flirtbuck. Instead they went home logged into their computer and made a post to cyberspace in hopes of them looking them up.

wouldn't i have better luck going to overnight prints and having some quirky cards printed up 100 for 15 bucks with whatever info i want her/him to read
ie. single, professional, disease free, quirky(i did give you this card in the womens bathroom didn't I?)

call me!!for that kind of money o could give out all 100 cards that night, my chances have to be better than flirtbucks with those kind of numbers ($/card)

Cool - certainly not laughing it off, especially as you've put it into production - i wish you all the best.
Is it just the US for now?

is this service good for married people too?

version3.. If you would have ordered or took up my freebie offer to NT responders, you would have had your flirtbucks in the mail today.
:)
Patience is still a virtue..even in todays point and click world.

missed connections is for stalkers and entertainment's sake. i wouldn't bank a business on it.
its not like some babe ever actually tracks down the dude that fell in love her throughhis rearview mirror on the freeway, or whatever.

depending on how you hand your flirtbuck over to her will depend if you will be able to redeem yours for one later.

by too dark, it's not that it needs more color, it's that there's no contrast between the background and some of the elements.
the login box, for example, is the almost the same color as the bg, so it floats out in space.
i would guess it was designed on a mac? set your gamma to 2.2!!!

a little bit better with the red band at the top.
still a lot of blackness below.
you not thought about introducing dark or light pinks to the "bucked" boxes etc?im sure your just dead set against pink - aintcha! :P

damn!
so much time playing the devils advocate i missed out on a deal ;)
seriously though, if I handed this thing to a girl, she would A. Throw it back in my face (it looks like a credit card, she thought i was paying for sex) B. Throw it directly in the trash (while I watch) C. Never ever respond
then again I live in KS and the only reason "girls" like computers nowdays is myspace.
a couple years ago comps weren't cool in KS at all nd now they only are to 14-19 yr olds
lil young for me
Gimme the Flirtbucks!

here's a new slogan:
hello my future girlfriend 2.0 beta!

Version3..you would be suprised on their response when you hand it to them... It suprises them, but then they flip it over and it immediately strikes curiosity in them and they will go look at it.
send me an email: I will hook you up with a few. chris23@gmail.co m

"Very handsome man, dark hair, tat on r arm (I believe it was flames,or band)not really sure was busy looking at your eyes more. You were in line when I walked by you. You drove a gray SUV type vehicle and came out of the store with two power drinks... Are you sharing those with someone? I was wearing a pink shirt, jeans dark brown midlength hair, blue eyes, and had boxes in the back seat of my car. Lets talk...:) "
"and, oh, i nearly forgot...I slipped you a flirtbuck and you never called back! It's a card that you use with your computer. maybe you don't have a computer! hmm, don't worry future lover, i've got your license plate number, a quick call to my cousin @ the DMV and we'll be strolling down lovers lane!
P.S. if this doesn't work out between us, can i have my flirtbuck back? they're like 3 bucks a pop!"

It's not masculine, but I agree it can be softened up a bit to suit and appeal to more people. After all, it's about romance and flirting, so more white and less black may be better. You should change it up a bit and check it out.

khiled.. I see what you are hinting at, the only problem is most people have business cards to hand off to clients.
Business cards are alot cheaper than plastic cards that links them to my site to show them what they do that links to another site.
Thanks for the compliment on TomatoCreative though..

If you read my blog, I discuss the fact that I met my fiance on the freeway, so I am an example of "tracking" down the person that was in her rearview mirror.
So you are saying that most people on dating web sites are stalkers on in the entertainment business? Most people that are on dating sites like the fact that they can "screen" someone in the privacy of their own home and they may not be as forward in person or do not like going out to a club and meeting people.
