I'm taking a trip to Vancouver in June. Any suggestions on things to see/do? I plan on checking out the Alife store at some point.

If you're into Alife check out these shops too...

Mr. Sparkles guide to vancouver:
Go to Tojo's for the best sushi outside Japan.
http://www.tojos.com/Go to English Bay at sunset and sit on the beach. I used to enjoy heading down with a slurpee full of rum.
Go into Stanley Park, one of, if not the largest City Park in the World.
On a nice day head out to Wreck beach (not for the faint of heart) for an always interesting nude beach experience.
Take a walk over the Burrard Bridge for a seriously amazing view of the most natually beautiful city in the world.
Wallpaper did a feature on Vancouver and it's got a few decent suggestions...

They sometimes have some great partys that the normal riff raff doesn't attend.Have a look at some of Arthur Erickson's architecture at the Law Courts or the Museum of Anthropology at UBC.
Then Vancouver Art Gallery is pretty good sometimes.
I think that'll keep you very busy.

Yeah, what the hell am I doing?! I don't want people to come here and love it and tell their friends and then they move here and it drives real estate prices through the roof.
There's nothing to do here. Ever.

mrsparkle, I live in (North) Vancouver too, but I've never heard of that Butter Magazine. it looks so awesome! do you know a for sure place where I can pick them up (near waterfront perferrably) other than Club Card? I get my Vice Mags there but I don't think I've ever seen Butter - I guess they go pretty fast. thanks!

really nice weird artsy stuff from Vancouver: Only Mag, Seth Scriver, Lionspile, Jason McLean and Mark DeLong.
but i'm sort of biased about those.

You just have to pay attention to when it's coming out and head to one of the places that they give it out. I usually go to global atomic. I think that they have a list on their site of where you can get it, you just have to go there soon after it comes out.
You've got yourself a nice site there, are you a student?

if you get here before june 4 go to whistler and ski or board. i was up on sunday and it was unreal. you take the gondola up above the bike park (full summertime fun going on there) untill midstation then you are into a sunny winter wonderland. there is so much snow left it is sick. The snow is so deep still in the back bowls that there are no rocks showing anywhere. blazing sun at the peak and 15 degrees c. then when you get back down to the village it is 30 c and everyone is in shorts and t shirts. best day of the season and it is 29 bucks right now instead of 80 or whatever and food is half price. whistler never does that shit.
other suggestions - rent car and drive the duffy lake loop. http://members.shaw.ca/bjs1/duff…
go from the ocean, through the coastal rainforest, up into some crazy mountains into the desert then back into the mountains to the coast in 6 hrs.go to victoria, and tofino on the island.
