The heat and humidity is the only thing that sent me to california. The city itself is full of artists and musicians. It has a vibe like no other city I've ever been to. I hear that portland is very similar in style.

I moved from austin to huntington beach.

I'd recommend Austin. It's a rad city. A hell of a lot cheaper than so cal. If you don't mind not living on the coast. go for it.
