just a quick one!.
doing a logo for a modern french brasserie called 'Verres en Vers'.
translates to raise your glasses or something like 'cheers'.had a real simple thought, just scamped it up. could have the small 'V' picked out in a metallic or spot varnish maybe... dunno. i like it anyway... any thoughts?

can the 'en' make the neck of the upper v or this the worst thing you have ever heard?.....
- stewart0
where's the idea?
and maybe you need the whole line "Verres en Vers" + addition 'Brasserie' somewhere to make it a real logo.
btw, with the translation 'cheers' in mind i can see something happen with the two V's... cheap idea though.

(May 4 06, 06:58)what do u mean?
it's a simple mark, (albeit very early idea).this is an excerpt from my scamps, did stuff with the 2 'V's
but i think the one i put up first is far superior in concept.

i like the two top ones in the left hand column. you get a nice play on words there with 'a l'envers'. ya get me?
- krust0

(May 4 06, 07:11)haha, i like it, but i dont wanna confuse the logo, since it hasn't anything to do with the brasserie itself
- paraselene0
hehe. that's good, too.

i like the two 'v's... you might want to lower the left side of the bigger 'v' a little which would then suggest that the smaller 'v' is indeed being 'lifted'.
nice typography going on...

i think that first one looks a bit like a female sex organ.

(May 4 06, 07:14)Nothing wrong with that.
Don't make the logo too horny picorny though.
