(Apr 27 06, 17:52)I wish...in house big box retailer south of Ptown.
We had some demos set up at a freelance station and our scanner station ( older G4's with crappy monitors). At the end of the demo I asked if anyone had any questions and one kid asked
"If your responcible for all the printed material for the entire chain why do they have you working on such old computers"
My CD just happened to be walking by and I asked the kid to repeat the question to my boss and he did it with a straight face as I sat behind him crackin up.
Priceless!

One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late...

these kids are 10-15 years old and I think one of them shat his pants during my demo.

I tried the whole "court ordered me to stay 500 feet from any child" but that didn't work.
Maybe I should start my next session. "Would you kids like to learn how to get paid to surf the web 6 hours a day"

HAHAHA gruntt!
I didn't think of it that way. We're actually having fun with it. Simple layout stuff but at the end we say you have to completely redo it a different way by first thing tomorrow so I can show it the boss even if it means staying here all night.

gather them all around your desk. have them sit on the floor and read the do's and don'ts from Vice Magazine pausing between each segment to show the photo to the group on your laptop.

all kids love fart jokes so start with one of those then slowly segway that into a story about how corporate is fucking you in the ass. then show them how to make a boilermaker.

Pretend that you're blind. That will really motivate them.

****************Right on. Nothing gets people jazzed up like an Overcoming the Odds story. You may get a call from Disney if you play this right.
