I have been getting into Clairault wines...
http://www.clairault.com.au/Watershed whites
http://www.watershedwines.com.au…Gralyn ports and fortifieds
http://www.gralyn.com.au/Mainly becuase they are all a few hours drive from my house in the Margeret River region in Western Australia...
Wolfblass, Rosemount, Houtons and Jacobs Creek are pretty avarage Aussie wines... you should look out for Goundry, Happs, Amberley, watershed, some of the Evans and Tate wines and Clairault if you want to try something really nice.
I love wine but Im not collector, just goes from the cellar door to my stomach.

White: Riesling, Sancerre, if I'm spending. Italian Pinot Grigio if I'm not.
Red: a heavy Bordeaux, or a good Amarone. A New Zealand Pinot Noir if on the cheap.

Oh so good a little chilled and paired with lox or some other seafood. Sushi would be good with it too.
