crusty. contrived.
totally out-of-touch with where contemporary/ progressive design is at these days.

that COLOR section kills me...
"brown is really happening"
"while trendsetters are pairing it with hot, hot, pink"

"What’s most interesting is the trend toward multicolor design. In the past, a piece might have one or two theme colors. Now a few designers are using the whole color wheel, in either pure, hot tones or pastels"
*GASP... the WHOLE color wheel !!! can u believe it!?

Sorry, got distracted. Distracted by how AWESOME it is outside. Anyway. I was just curious to see if anyone else thought this 'Trend' list read like a US Weekly gossip column?

So orange and hot pink, huh? Regardless of what you think of this writer's take on things, is print design really that relevant to what's going on in web/ UI design? It seems like they're parallel worlds, almost like in music where different scenes coexist and sometimes influence each other but nonetheless proceed on separate tracks.
- horton0
actually i prefer pink and lime green..
but ukit i don't understand your point. do you see NT as a forum for web design only.. ?
- ukit0
No, I didn't mean to say that. I just think it's hard to generalize about trends across the entire world of design. All of the examples in this article are of print design, yet the title is just "design trends," asif it represents everything. I think if you were to look at the world of web and interactive you would see an entirely different set of trends.

true.
and hey where'd justin go? you can't just drop a bomb post like this and run ;)
