hello you bunch of geeks with nice t-shirts.
just finished this.. what dya think?
http://www.meredithandrewsphotog…but, it doesn't center on a mac, or in firefox. but yet it's in flash.
anyone got any tips for "noScale"hugs. mydo

your flash movie is 100% x 100% therefore no need for a table just place it in the body tag. what is it you want to achieve with regard to "noScale". if you just want to set the movie to "noScale" its simple - add this AS to frame 1 of your movie:
Stage.scaleMode = "noScale";

what colag said... if you want - click my profile and look at the code on the main page of my site... it's what you're looking for as far as the html...
question - are you using the Stage class to find overall width and height?... or are you just 'guessing' your position?
As far as a crit - eh... it's really compact... and sluggy in the motion... kinda choppy...
typography is 'okay'... just feels like it needs smoothing out - a little kerning, sizing etc here and there... fonts are nice though....
... and now it's gone... what are you doing? working on it? pshh... now I can't finish my critique cuz I got's no reference!

the site is noScale... my problem is the fact it works differently in explorer than it does in firefox...
there is now no HTML in the body. only the flash movie. yet it still works differently.
ever seen this?

you have no tag and no doctype declaration in the verison i just looked at. it may be a CSS issue - try looking at stylesheets from other 100%x100% centred flash sites.

mydo.. i'm on a pc... using firefox - the whole things shifts to the right... and using IE... it all shifts to the left...
... you're doing something funky in your .fla... you calling your motion function on the timeline somewhere doing the initial playback?
... it's in the .fla, though... gotta be - cuz of the motion (unless you're rockin' some AJAX or something of the like... which I don't see referenced in your html)...

ponyboy - it's back - was following advice to remove the HTML, but that means my javascript flash detect didn't work. but anyway.
