So we have a client who hastely made a logo for a new Skate Shoe company. We pushed on a new logo process but were forced to work from the original logo. We think the one we developed is more in line with a skate shoe than the original.
So I was opening to get some feedback on both logos, and then a choice if you had to choose one or the other.

2nd but give it a more hand drawn feel.

i dont liek the fat curvy letters..go with a different font.

the second
no question.
Skate shoes or kitchen utensils this is the better logo.

i'm not too fond of either. i think you could develop the shapes of the letters a little further. perhaps applying that downward slope action throughout the type. the letters now looked very mismatched, as if they don't belong together.

the first has more of an old school feel to me. as an old skater, i say one.

Interesting feedback. We wanted to push this in whole different direction but do not have that option. Basically, we were only allowed to refine the top logo. We evened out the width of the letters so that we can stack them in different ways. Here are a couple of links of the direction of the site, with both logos used.

the prefer the second over the first
but don't like eitheri like the N in the second and could see it being used as your logomark or icon and wrking well but you need to rework the rest of the logotype
both are kind of bleh.

(Apr 6 06, 12:13)neither logo really works with the imagery. both look like the logo was slapped on as an after-thought and not intergrated into the photo montage. rethink the logo and how it ties in with the imagery you are creating. i think the imagery and logo are heading to two completely different directions.
ps. i do like the photo montage. a lot.

2nd but give it a more hand drawn feel.
tasty
(Apr 6 06, 11:58)the second with a more hand drawn/cut-out-with-scissors look would work very well with your photo montage.

Thanks Sven. The holding page is just a holding page. nothing more.
Not sure if I agree with your comments but they are appreciated.

2, but there's something missing.

I found myself reading the second logo as "REDD"... that might be a problem

i agree with most here
i prefer 2 but it does need something else
maybe it is that it needs to look more hand made/drawn
i do like how it's very chunky and round
