This is a month early, isn't it? 04.05.06 is in May.

Looks like it works twice then! Once for the stupid Americans and once for the Euros!
- winter0
europe: dd/mm/yy
us: mm/dd/yy
- winter0
the us format makes no sense for healthy minded people, but they want their own anyway :P

ye, and doesnt that happen every year? buff, americans...
- i_monk0
It's not just the Europeans using dd/mm/yy.
If you're going to swap the month and year, what's to stop you swapping the minute and hour? It doesn't make sense either way.

well when 06-06-06 comes along these little discrepancies won't matter much will they, cause that day we're all going to HELL.

what about 06.05.04 04.05.06?
I'm scared about that one too!

I think technically it should go yyyy/mm/dd for sorting purposes...
- winter0
I really don't mind any format just as long everyone agrees about one.
some government agencies in Europe started using yy/mm/dd whilst others are using mm/dd/yy or dd/mm/yy...
last year i had to pay an IRS extra tax because I didn't pay a 11/12/05 revenue in November. I thought it was December...
furthermore, as internet business is growing around the world, someone should put an hand on this.
maybe the innuit calendar could suit us all.
