I have a 12" ibook and want to use my 19" LCD monitor to work from when at home. As it is 1280x1024 resolution, when I connect the display to my ibook, it seems that the highest I can get the resolution to be is 1024x768. Can anything be done
Any help much appreciated
Sorry about my grammer and if this has been posted in PVN before, could not find anything related

yo. use this.
i have a 14" ibook g4. i downloaded this and use this. it's a sreen extender, not mirror and allows you to use whatever resolution on your external monitor it can handle. i have a 19" hooked up to the ibook and have it set at 1280x1024. it works great.

e-pill what this fizzuck chuck!
of course it works, i use it all the time.
for whatever reason apple blocked the ibook from working the way it's supposed to. the powerbook lets you have an external monitor as another screen, but the ibook only uses the other screen as a mirror.
my ibook is on an icurve so it's up off the desk, and i've used it for a few hours at a time and havne't noticed the bottom any warmer than usual. so, i don't think you'll have to worry about frying your card.
good luck wit it. it really is a great thing.
