Flash Sound Object

I am using flash sound objects in a project that has 4 buttons, play, pause, forward and backward.
Play and pause do the usual things, and forward and back go ahead to different parts of the movie.
My question is this, when I have a sound object playing, I can play and pause it just fine, but using the forward and back buttons screw it all up, so what I need to know is if there is a way to unattach all sounds, when I use the back and forward buttons. The sounds will re-attach when they hit the correct part of the timeline.
Make sense?

anyone? or was I that unclear?

my 2 cents:
Generally it's a good idea to have things loosely coupled in all your projects, so handle your music player and the rest of the movie as two seperate 'objects'. You then can use the player in other projects as well, and the prev and next buttons will work (better).Hope that helps

So let me get this straight:
You have nav buttons that play/pause and move keyframe positions back and forward on the timeline?
Or are you trying to control the actual sound object playback with play/pause/forward/back?

Boz,
No sorry I wasn't very clear. I have a flash file that at certain parts along the timeline, loads and plays sound objects. The play and the pause button, pause and play the timeline, as well as the sound objects. That's all working fine.
I also have a forward and back buttons that advance/go back to set places on the timeline, which also works. However when the user goes back and forth it screws up the sound and when the user hits the pause, and then the play button multiple sound objects start playing.

Figured it out!!
I just needed to write a variable for each sound so the player knows which sound is current and plays the appropriate sound!!
