(Mar 2 06, 12:04)I had roast beef along time ago that was like marinated or cooked with (I have no idea, I'm not a cook unfortunately) in Killian's.
And to this day it may have been the greatest tasting meal I've ever had in my life.

(Mar 2 06, 13:29)Well, in the meal all the alcohol would have left during the cooking process.
From what you are saying, there wasn't much to leave in the first place, heh.

anything brewed by a master craftsman who could give a fuck about economics. read - anything where I can taste the hops before the glass hits my lips.
noteable kiwi examples:
Limburg hopsmacker
Emmersons IPA
Cock & Bull Fuggles best bitter
or in fact anything brewed by Richard Emmerson, Keith Galbraith, Chris O'Leary, or Luke Nicholas.and Little Creatures pale ale. yum.
have to say, nothing nicer than a guiness whilst in Ireland to be sure.

also fond of some of the lesser known belgians, esp trappists. branch out from your stellas, hoegardens and leffes people. chimay is a good start.

This local brewmaster told me onetime that there was over 3500 separate brews of Belgian beer made every year...amazing.
