I don’t like reading. I think I have ADD. Oh... look at the kittens !
Actually, it's been the only thing that gives me any peace and quiet these days and people tend to leave you alone when you're doing it. Reading is a great people repellant.
I'm also reading Prozac Nation --- again. It's good to see some people are really insane and fall apart about everything all the time. It makes me feel really together.

Like you said, intense. She puts it down frequently. My Mom and daughter have both read it as well.

How's she liking it, Rand?
I had to put it down for a while. I was reading one day on the beach and it toally ruined an otherwise beautiful day. I guess thats good writing.

skt: I only started reading it last night but so far not it is not thet same, so far it is about his early memories growing up, his mother, father, bullying at school etc.. though probably it will turn out like post office or women, which, yes are basically just accounts of his excessive drinking and womanising, very amusing at times, but largely one track.
Hvae you tried On the Road by Kerouac, or better, try the sexus, nexus, plexus trilogy by henry miller.

I'm currently reading "dealing with the dutch" which would have saved me a lot of anguish if I had read it before I moved there.
Also reading a conard book.

(Mar 1 06, 10:41)I know who he is. I have read Post Office and Factotum and found them to be pretty much the same book. Never read any of his poetry though.
