i think it looks pretty good, but i can see what you mean about the shapes involved. i'd suggest making the negative spaces there look more like a sphere and less like the sydney opera house. but i imagine you've tried lots of spherical solutions already...
good luck!

it looks like an igloo. you need to work in full circles the cut the lines where needed - those are more of an oval arch than a circle arch - and the earth works in parallels not arches coming from a single point.

I know it's insanely obvious and highly uncreative, but have you at all tried combos of globespheres and footprints? It's just that I'm not seeing Earth or Walk in there (hop, skip'n'jump - maybe) and I feel that the concept is diluted compared to previous attempts..

yes make arch actually more like a sphere, and maybe more of an abstract representation of 5 toes for feet - where as now you have 4 negative spaces - try 5 instead more rounded, more organic I think.

feet are gross.

feet are great.

Can you see that the shape you've drawn is not spherical?
Here:
I've drawn a circle over it.
Try using images like this to base your design on:

The global grid lines.
Also the lines coming forward shouldn't eminate from one point.

i suggest a giant spinning globe, and then put a big footprint in the middle. bevel emboss the globe around the footprint. then use something like Serpentine combined with Comic Sans for the wordmark and you have an awesome logo.
but the one you proposed is ok as well, i guess..

you're an arse, and I hate you, 4cy

Earthwalk Northwest offers programs focusing on earth awareness and primitive living skills, including primitive bow making, fire by friction, wild edibles, and much more. Our unique courses provide in-depth, hands-on experience, allowing participants to deepen their understanding of traditional skills while learning how to wisely use and honor the many gifts the earth has to offer.
is this what the company you're designing the logo for does?

I like it. I don't think you should go anywhere near the wireframe globe idea. That is a rubbish idea. Yes baskerville, rubbish.
But yeah, it does need something.
That was a lot of help.

like people are saying, it's def gotta be a proper circular/ spherical curve.
the logo is directly relating to earth so you can't get away with anything but a perfect circle.

First of I saw a writing quill.
I would drop the logo mark and just use the type (needs a bit od tweaking though)

i like the top of those three, dude.
and maybe with a foot print..
..some long/lat lines..
..bevel emboss the globe around the footprint. then use something like Serpentine combined with Comic Sans for the wordmark and you have an awesome logo.

get rid of the lines in the globe - with the arched horizon, it bridges the earth and the walk, we get it. simplify.

my thoughts exactly, Nairn!!
Great minds...
