Pancakes? In Sweden, it's semla-day. A semla is a sweet sheat bun with cream and marzipan.

Pancake day is for eating crêpes,
I do like american 'pancakes' but here we call them 'scotch pancakes'.
And I don't get the whole eating sausages/bacon with pancakes and maple syrup for breakfast. I'd upchuck if I had that much for breakfast!
